“支那で果樹園を作るのが夢だ”という玉井金五郎は生来の気ッ腑のよさと度胸で男をあげ、一家を興すまでになった。その頃、戸畑港では、永田・大庭組と伊崎組一派とが荷役をめぐって争っていた。金五郎は、伊崎の挑戦を受けて立つ。金五郎の肩には 、女賭博師・お京が彫った花と龍の刺青があった。
