ETA is a nonbinary, first-gen Vietnamese-American filmmaker raised in Tustin, CA by refugees of the American War in Vietnam. Currently, they're in postproduction for Menstrual, a meditative sci-fi drama about a wormhole being studied in the Pacific Ocean. White Gaze, their gentrification horror short, has screened across the US and abroad and won numerous awards. Confluence: A Meditation in Documentary Form, their documentary short focusing on the Asian American diaspora, has screened at several Oscar-qualifying film festivals, being hailed by Film Threat as "a powerful and entrancing music documentary". Their debut, Stockton 2 Malone, premiered via AFROPUNK and was lauded for infusing "intersectional, diverse identities into the mumblecore subgenre."Show more
