Roberto Infascelli was an Italian film producer, director, and screenwriter, recognized for his contributions to the poliziottesco genre in the 1970s. His son, Alex Infascelli, continued the family's cinematic legacy as a director. Infascelli began his career in the film industry as a production manager and assistant director. He made his directorial debut under the pseudonym Bob Raymond with Luana la figlia della foresta vergine (1968). He gained prominence as a producer with films like La polizia ringrazia (1972), which is considered a seminal work in the poliziottesco genre. He continued to explore crime and thriller themes with La polizia sta a guardare (1973), which he also directed, and La polizia chiede aiuto (1974). Infascelli's career was cut short when he died in a car accident in France on August 18, 1977, at the age of 38, while conducting research for a new film project.Show more
