Her most recent work includes editing the documentary SALLY for National Geographic, directed by Cristina Costantini, which follows the life of astronaut Dr. Sally Ride and is set to premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. Hackett's editing on Cheer earned her an Emmy Award, and she also received an ACE Eddie Award for her work on the series. Additionally, she edited the Netflix documentary series D.B. Cooper: Where Are You?!, directed by Marina Zenovich. In 2018, Hackett was honored as the Sundance Institute Sally Menke Editing Fellow. She is a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild, IATSE Local 700, and is fluent in Spanish. Beyond her editing career, Hackett has ventured into directing.
