Alessio Genovese is a scriptwriter, director, and reporter with extensive experience in the Middle East and North Africa. Also in 2012, he received the 'Maria Grazia Cutuli Award' promoted by 'Corriere della Sera' as the best emerging journalist of the year. Since 2017 he has been promoting the participatory cinema project "FunKino - Cinema for Inclusion" with the aim of introducing disadvantaged adolescents, including migrants and prisoners, to the professions of cinema.
