His parents, Archbishop Dr. Frederick T. Nah Jr. and Pastor Karen Nah, were honored with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award by Barack and Michelle Obama in 2016 for their humanitarian work. Drawing from his Liberian and American heritage, Tabiyus developed a global perspective early in life that continues to shape the emotional and social themes within his work. Beginning his artistic journey in music and theater at a young age, Tabiyus wrote, directed, produced, and choreographed his first original musical, The Gospel of Jesus, at just 18 years old. The sold-out production launched his professional creative career and led to the founding of Phoenix 4 Productions. Over the following years, he created multiple stage productions, including the acclaimed theatrical production RUN at the Rialto Center for the Arts, before transitioning into film, music videos, and large-scale multimedia storytelling.
