Pedro Henrique Chaves is a writer and director from Brasilia, Brazil, with a degree in Audiovisual from the University of Brasília (UnB). His work values collaboration as a creative tool, a process of exchange that gives rise to sensitive, character-driven narratives. His first short film, FOGUETE (Rocket), premiered at the New York Latino Film Festival (NYLFF), presented by HBO, and was screened at festivals such as NewFilmmakers LA, in partnership with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and FACIUNI, where it won Best Film. After being selected for the Thailand Short Film Competition, he directed a documentary in Thailand. Pedro has worked as an assistant director on the global campaign for the CHANEL Next Prize. He has collaborated with leading Brazilian filmmakers such as Laís Bodanzky, José Eduardo Belmonte, René Sampaio, and Mauro Lima.Show more
