Jurgen Ureña is a graduate of the Film and TV School of Veritas University (Costa Rica) and has a Master's Degree in Creative Documentary from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His first feature film, Muñecas rusas (2014), received the Best Director Award at the Ícaro Central American Film Festival.
