Bene's career in the entertainment industry began when he participated in the third season of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia on Kompas TV in 2013. His distinctive performance with a Batak accent made him widely recognized. In addition to stand-up comedy, Bene is also active as a screenwriter and director. He was involved in writing screenplays for films such as Cek Toko Sebelah (2016) and Suzzanna: Bernapas dalam Kubur (2018). His directorial debut was the film Ghost Writer in 2019.
