Arturo Menéndez (born October 3, 1978) is a Salvadoran film director, screenwriter, and producer known for his contributions to contemporary cinema in El Salvador. Menéndez gained international recognition with his short film Cinema Libertad, which was showcased at numerous festivals worldwide, and his 2014 feature Malacrianza, considered the first Salvadoran fiction film in decades to be presented internationally. He also directed La palabra de Pablo (2018), a drama that was acquired for distribution by HBO, further marking a milestone for Salvadoran cinema.
