Francisco Dias Ferreira dos Santos (Porto, January 16, 1873 – Bagé, June 17, 1937) was a Portuguese film director, actor, film producer, and entrepreneur. He was the founder of Guarany Fábrica de Fitas Cinematogr áficas, in Pelotas, the first studio built specifically for cinema in Brazil.Francisco Dias Ferreira dos Santos (Porto, January 16, 1873 – Bagé, June 17, 1937) was a Portuguese film director, actor, film producer, and entrepreneur. The studio produced the short film Os Óculos do Vovô (Grandpa's Glasses), considered the oldest Brazilian fiction film with fragments still preserved.
