Henri Chomette (1896–1941) was a French actor, screenwriter and film director known for Le chauffeur de Mademoiselle (1928), Autour d'une enquête (1931) and Night in May (1934). Very early on, he broke with the teaching of his teachers and participated in the avant-garde movement by constructing a theory of "pure cinema", which gave great importance cutting and editing.
