When her work began receiving notable awards she embarked on her feature film journey. Skilled in writing, directing, acting, colour-grading, cinematography and production deign she has loved all things film since she was making back-yard movies at 6 years old. She employs stylistic visuals, humanistic storytelling and symbolic resonance to create impactful work. Navigating her struggles with dyslexia, Emilie employs the personal theme of overcoming difficulty into much of her work. She loves to create films which highlight symbolic imagery and have a dream-like aesthetic, while also showcasing Australia’s unique and often hostile natural landscapes.
