The same year she appeared in the sitcom Moving. She has starred in various television series, most notably in the top rated soap opera Coronation Street for four years from 1999. Gee married the actor and director Ken Campbell in 1978 with whom she had a daughter; they later divorced but remained on good terms. Also starred in episode 8 of the first series of The Sweeney.
