Sometime in Oct 2017, Soojin became a contestant on the survival show MIXNINE along with Soeun and Jiyoon. She represent FAVE Entertainment as a trainee. On Dec 31, Soojin and other FAVE Entertainment trainees got in a car crash. Soojin had to withdraw from the show due to an injury. Later in 2018 it was announced that Soojin would become a member of the upcoming group FAVE Girls and was revealed on Oct 2018.
