At 14 years old, he switched to basketball and played for the Letran Squires at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCA) Junior Basketball Tournament, then became a Varsity Player for Trinity University of Asia in college. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Marketing Management) from Trinity University of Asia, Quezon City, Philippines.
