His breakthrough came in the 1980s with the role of Lee Stetson (Scarecrow) in the popular TV series *Scarecrow and Mrs. King*, where he starred alongside Kate Jackson. The series was a hit, running for four seasons, and Boxleitner's portrayal of the charming and resourceful secret agent made him a household name. In addition to *Scarecrow and Mrs. King*, Boxleitner is widely known for his portrayal of *Alan Bradley/Tron* in the groundbreaking 1982 Disney film *Tron* and its 2010 sequel *Tron: Legacy*.
