(SAN FRANCISCO, CA) -- Theatre actor Randy Wendelin, also known as porn star Steve Regis, died Thursday, July 26, 2001 at Lands End Beach in San Francisco. He had an on-going heart condition for many years and died of a sudden-death-syndrome heart attack, according to his life-partner Tom Finan.(SAN FRANCISCO, CA) -- Theatre actor Randy Wendelin, also known as porn star Steve Regis, died Thursday, July 26, 2001 at Lands End Beach in San Francisco. "He had tripped on some wooden steps and managed to get back up, but when we started to walk, he took another step, became light-headed and fell backwards into my arms. I laid him on the ground and cradled him. Our friend Matt, who was with us, called 911 and they gave instruction to me on mouth-to-mouth.
