José, also known as Zé, is filming "Cacau" for TVI and is taking the stage as the co-protagonist in the play "A Andorinha / La Golondrina". In 2021, his portrayal of Hamlet, directed by Carlos Avilez, earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Theater Actor. In 2023, his performance as Padre Amaro, the protagonist of the series "O Crime do Padre Amaro", secured him the Golden Globe for Best Fiction Actor. Recognized for his contribution to "O Som Que Desce da Terra", he received the DGArtes Award for Best Supporting Actor. His film credits include "Salgueiro Maia - The Implicated: The Series" and "Gabriel", where he played the antagonist.
