He was a frequent collaborator with Alan Ward, who was also an engineer at Morgan Studios, London, where they met. Butcher played guitar and co-wrote for the British punk/new wave band Elton Motello with Ward, who adopted "Elton Motello" as his pseudonym, while Butcher performed as Jet Staxx in the band and later as a solo act. Meeting little success as a band, both Butcher and Ward worked as record producers and songwriters.Show more
